Growing up in the Suburbs of Detroit (Oak Park &Southfield) DJ D1 caught the music bug at age 11, and started playing around with turntables, belt drives! By age 13, DJ D1 was inspired by Early Techno coming from the likes of Jeff Mills, the Electrifying Mojo, as well as countless other Detroit Legends. During the late 80-90’s D1 continued his club DJ’ing with residences and Guest spots at venues around metro Detroit including Lipsticks, 4th street, the Works, Metro Music Cafe, and Motor Lounge. DJ D1 is a Multi-Genre focused DJ and producer hailing from Detroit Michigan. With many decades of experience in the DJ and music industry, he has become a well-respected figure in the Detroit and surrounding area nightlife scene. Known for his signature mixing style that is deeply rooted in Techno, Tech House and House Music DJ D1 has performed at some of the most prestigious clubs and competed in events around the US including the James Bond Shaken not Stirred event in NYC. Aside from impressive DJing skills, D1 is also an accomplished producer, with new 3 tracks currently in production, supported by MVW Entertainment In addition to his busy dj’ing. Work and producing schedule, DJ D1 is also passionate about giving back to the community He has been involved in various charity initiatives and fundraising events including Toy’s for Tots, and the American Cancer Society to make a positive impact in the community. With Todd’s talent, hard work, and dedication, DJ D1 is sure to continue making waves in the music industry for years to come.
